Pamela began at Family Dynamics in the fall of 2019, as an MFT Trainee. She graduated from the Masters in Counseling Psychology Graduate Program at Simpson University in the spring of 2020, and will remain on staff as an Associate MFT. Her therapeutic focus includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). While she works primarily with teens and children, she also does work with adults. Her treatment approach is person-centered. She believes that listening and understanding a person’s story can guide the discovery of individual talents that manage and overcome stuck emotions and feelings. Through transforming negative adaptive perspectives into more adaptive emotions, one can make new meaning out of old narratives. Her treatment modality begins with the journey towards the authentic Self, for she believes this can powerfully release internal constraints.
